Western Chester County COG continues to work together to enhance communication among local officials, stimulate and improve regional coordination and cooperation, and generate new ideas and growth opportunities locally. Thank you for your support in growing a stronger region together.
This year the COG shared many ideas and cost-effective solutions at monthly meetings. These meetings served as an extension of monthly municipal meetings, and allowed COG members to discover better approaches or lessons learned from surrounding municipalities. In 2024 we hosted our first ever, An Expert’s Guide to Planning & Zoning event that welcomed 30+ municipalities to discover challenges and solutions in zoning law.
Please mark the calendar for the next educational course, Local Government 201, scheduled for February 1, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at the Chester County Public Safety Training Campus.
This year we also welcomed guest speakers who discussed topics relevant to municipal governing including a commercial playground equipment business, Pennsylvania Constable Service, the Chester County Planning Commission, SERVPRO Emergency Response and Remediation, among many more. If you have a change of contact as your COG representative, please let us know. Each municipal member can list a primary and secondary representative. All municipal officials and staff are welcome to attend our COG meetings as well. We are here to be a resource for your municipality.
