The Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee offers Local Government 101 and 201 Training Courses at no cost to Municipal Officials. This day long course is designed to provide a wealth of information about the many facets and operations of local governments whether this is your first election, or you are a seasoned official.

Topics range across: The Roles of Local Government Officials, Employees & Attorneys, how to lower risk of costly & disruptive lawsuits, Police Liability & Proper Supervision, Hot Topics in Employment Law, Municipal Budgets, Financial Reports/Oversight, Annual State and Federal Filing, Requirement Pitfalls to Avoid, Ordinances & Resolutions, Sunshine Law, Ethics Law, Public competitive bidding, Prevailing Wage, Zoning & Land Use Law, Zoning Ordinances, Regional and Multi-municipal Planning.
The Municipal Update is a luncheon hosted the first Friday in November of each year. This event brings together Municipal Leaders from across the western Chester County region that share news, development and real estate opportunities and future plans for the municipalities they represent. WCCCOG Members all present updates at the Municipal Update Luncheon in addition to other surrounding municipalities.
