Recently it has come to the attention of several leaders of area municipalities, that there have been some discrepancies and issues in Trash services that are contracted out to private businesses. We as members of the Western Chester County Council of Governments believe it is in the collective best interest to seek sources for resolving issues that arise regionally.
The Council of Governments is in discussion on multi-municipal solutions to address Trash challenges that are arising as a detriment within our communities and for our residents. This letter is not a commitment from your Municipality, but an evaluation of your level of interest in the topic. Response allows the Council of Governments to be informed on what direction to take based on the consensus of our Municipalities.
We aren’t asking for a contracted commitment at this point but a general commitment of interest. If we don’t have enough interest in this topic, we will not move forward in developing multi-municipal solutions to the Trash issue. Please consider sharing this with your boards. Thank you in advance.
